    The ATmega8A-AU represents a popular member of Microchip's megaAVR family, built on an advanced RISC architecture that achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz. This microcontroller features 8KB of in-system programmable Flash memory with read-while-write capabilities, 1KB of SRAM, and 512 bytes of EEPROM for non-volatile data storage. Operating across a wide voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V with an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the device is suitable for both battery-powered and industrial applications. The integrated peripheral set includes a 6-channel 10-bit ADC, hardware SPI, I²C (TWI), and USART interfaces, along with three flexible timer/counters with compare modes. The inclusion of QTouch library support enables capacitive touch sensing capabilities without additional components.
