Product Description :
The VIPER22ADIP-E, designed by STMicroelectronics, is a fixed-frequency offline converter in an 8-pin DIP package, combining a dedicated current-mode PWM controller with a high-voltage power MOSFET on a single silicon chip.
It supports a fixed 60 kHz switching frequency, 9 V to 38 V VDD range, and an input voltage range from 195 VAC to 265 VAC, making it well-suited for a wide variety of power supply applications, including battery charger adapters.
The device includes a high-voltage startup current source, auxiliary undervoltage lockout with hysteresis, and protection features such as overtemperature, overcurrent, and overvoltage protection with auto-restart. It also features automatic burst mode under light load conditions, optimizing power efficiency.
Operating over a wide temperature range from –40 °C to +150 °C, the VIPER22ADIP-E is ideal for cost-effective, isolated power supply designs with reliable protection and stable performance.
